Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling⋯⋯, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul's Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

爾蘭的信徒所寫，作者姓名失傳，但因原作是蓋爾語文（Gaelic）使用古愛爾蘭措辭，故後人知道作者是居住在一個愛爾蘭綠草如茵，山巔煙霧瀰漫的幽谷中。
這是一首禱告的詩，求主使我們以基督為榜樣，成為我們的異象。詩中稱神為「心中王」、「希望」、「智慧」、「箴言」，「良伴」等。我們常有夢想，但卻乏異象。事奉的路上若無異象，則一切都是徒勞。
