Stone's Blog: 20140921 Fellowship from Jaipur, India

Dear saints,

May the joy of the Lord be with you.

This July the Lord gave us a new beginning. We migrated from New Delhi to Jaipur through the fellowship of the Body. This city located at the edge of a desert, is at a distance of 260 km. southwest from New Delhi. The population is 3.3 million. This is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Rajasthan in India. The literal meaning of Jaipur is 'the city of victory', was founded in 1727, the first planned city of its time. India's Golden Triangle is a tourist circuit which includes: Delhi, Agra (including the Taj Mahal), and Jaipur. Once was ranked the 7th best place to visit in Asia. Jaipur is also an international trade center of gems and jewelery. The city of Jaipur stucco painted 'Pink' and since then the city has been called the "Pink City". The change in color scheme was as an honor of hospitality extended to the Prince of Wales (who later became King Edward VII) on his visit. Besides cultural heritages, the city is surrounded by mountains and lakes, there are many shopping malls to bring up the tourism commercial opportunities.

Though the outward environment seems good, yet there is a spiritual warfare behind the scene. The church in Gurgaon started the propagation in Jaipur. Due to much distraction and the hindrance, till now still do not have the Lord's Table here. Currently, we stay with a family (migrated from south India, Tamil Nadu state for propagation). Every morning we have prayer in one accord, pursue together, learn Hindi Language and acupuncture. We go shepherding and visiting the saints and gospel friends in the evening. May the name of our victorious Lord be exalted in this city of victory, and gain the building materials for the church. In the age of the Body, we need to stand in the position of the Body to fight the warfare for them, so that the saints can gain the household salvation and gospel contacts can believe into the Lord and be baptized. Paving the way for rising up a strong testimony, and be the footstep of gospelizing this state.

Currently, there are at least five home meetings weekly, including those who have already baptized and eager to have fellowship with us. All of them are the only one saved in their families. May the Lord give them burden to preach the gospel to their family members, relatives and friends. There are two single brothers. One of them always comes to our place to pursue, and have fellowship. He also has burden to bring his colleagues and his friends to salvation. Another brother has a shoe store which nearby our house. We always enjoy pursuing spiritual books together, the store owners nearby will also join us sometimes. We hope that these single brothers will find suitable marriage partners.

There is an elderly sister, finished PhD in English literature. She is eager for the truth, and has good understanding. Besides weekly home meeting at her place, we also have morning revival through phone daily. And another sister is an English teacher, we have regular home meeting at her place weekly. Among the gospel friends, there is one who is a retired judge, he likes to have fellowship, hymn singing with us. We used to visit one another. We also contacted another open family, they all called on the Lord's name. Due to some situation, their eldest daughter seek God eagerly, and seek to have fellowship with us. We have consistently bible reading-Gospel of John with their son. He is enlightened and encouraged by the Word of God.
